I downloaded this. The 'builder' part looks pretty solid, but the 'sheet view' had some problems with alignment of the 'dots' on the page I noticed. It may be my operating system (Mac).

Ok, newest version uses standard excel shading to mimic the official sheet instead of using a graphical underlay.  It should work on all platforms now.  There's still a graphic for the death spiral, but it doesn't interact with anything so you can just move it around / scale it if you need to.

About a week ago I sent a few mispellings here and there that I picked up, but the big issue I found is when I picked Large advantage, it gave me the description of Foreign Born...wondering if you ever got around fixing that. Also when I print out the "official character sheet style", it doesn't print the Swordsman style & bonus maneuver, but it will when you print out the 4-5 pg character sheet style.

Interesting work. Have you a plan to tackle the extra "health" when someone takes the Hard to Kill advantage?

One bug that I found: When selecting the Background Knight Errant, the Advantage Direction Sense appears below the listing, but does not populate in the Advantages section, nor on the Character Sheet.

The sheet is fantastically useful.

I found out a small bug though. The calculation of the free advantages twice awarded has issues with blank cells. Try first background Aristocrat, Second Duelist, and you get a N/A on A35. For the moment I did a lazy fix on H30 =IFNA(AC34,0)+IFNA(AC35,0)+IFNA(AC36,0)

One bug I found, is that it's treating Cast Iron Stomach as being the Camaraderie advantage, both in terms of point cost (3pts instead of 1pt) and the description of what Cast Iron Stomach does.

Other than that, this has been pretty handy, so thanks again to the creator for putting this together.

I just sent in the update for Heroes & Villains and for Pirate Nations.

Leads me to a formating question for people.  How do you want me to flag things from non-core books?  Internally, they're highlighted in different colors, but so far I don't have anything user-facing to designate it.  The easiest is for me to keep it that way - new things just appear in the dropdowns as if they'd always been there.  Is that sufficient, or is there demand for knowing which book an ability comes from?  If so, how would you like that to look?

Thank you guys for the great Generator! I noticed a couple of things while using it recently:

• Seize Your Glory Advantage: does not give appropriate discount to Numa characters.
• Foul Weather Jack Advantage: as far as I can tell, it doesn't allow me to actually create a 2nd Story.
• Print worksheet: Does not seem to include Stories. [edit] Scratch that, I see it now. Kind of hard to read, though.
• Mystirios: I found a bug with this Sorcery. It seems to be an error in referencing within the hidden cells. Here's a breakdown of my findings:
  • Selecting Theonoa Dianoia as a Mystirio does not allow me to select the associated Apokalypsi.
  • Selecting the Hecteba Mystirio allows me to select the Theonoa Apokalypsi.
  • The problem seems to stem from improper references on cells S144:T154 and the associated table on the styles sheet.
  • In my case, cell S147 is Theonoa. Cell T147 tries to reference cell styles!I104, which is Hecteba, and due to the COUNTIF structure returns FALSE.
  • Conversely, cell S151 is Hecteba (if creating a Villain). Cell T151 references cell styles!108, which is Theonoa. Due to the COUNTIF structure, returns Theonoa as the associated Apokalypsi.

It'd be interesting if you had some way of tracking/archiving past Stories as the PC advances.

As for the flagging, I'd advise against it. You either keep everything as simple as possible or go whole-hog and add source books and pages numbers for everything, which will turn into quite a bookkeeping exercise (especially since some mechanics pop up in different sourcebooks). On the other hand, if you want to go the librarian route, now's the time to set the structure for it.

One bug I just noticed is that if you select Highlands as your Nation, the Seanchaidh background doen't appear on the list of selectable options.

Same is true for Avalon with the Puritan background and Inismore with the Saoi background.
