This article was prompted by the "ask-me-anything" discussion started by Mike Curry, the Systems Lead on 7th Sea. And of course, the continued attempts to reanimate the decaying corpse of Absolute Morality into game design, especially in the 21st century, a morality of a bygone age and one of misplaced innocence.
Imagine if the Sidhe opened a portal into the world of 7th Sea from our Old Earth and the heroes came flooding...

I’m currently running a 7S1E campaign that started out in the Freiburg box set (and took a sharp left turn recently into Eisen Unification). With the agreement of the players who were there, we took a week off from that and played through the 2nd Edition Quick Start instead.

(While I know this post is REALLY long, and I know we have a bunch of other threads discussing this already, most of those are extremely critical of the new rules. I figured it was all right to bubble up a post in support of the new system. I know some folks are going to disagree with me, and I can totally see why a lot of people aren't going to like the new system.)

So here is a quick log of my running the 7th Sea 2nd Edition quickstart adventure. With one exception the group of players I ran this for had no experience with anything outside of Class/Level systems like the D20 rules.
We tried out using a sorte (tarot) deck instead of dice last night. I gave the players a choice of either using dice or cards. 3 chose cards and 2 stuck with dice.
We discussed the major arcana rules, and liked the look of them, but as they were incomplete we didn't use them.
A blog to discusss the 7th Sea 2e Kickstarter. Blogs similar to this may be started by players or GMs who wish to share their experiences with others. Photos can also be included and links to external sources. Just mind the copyright and always credit the artists if you use their artwork.
