So like a lot of you I backed the Kickstarter and have been going thru a lot of the PDFs. We’re looking at playing a game of 7 sea 2e and like to do a lot of group brainstorming about what the campaign will look like . Part of that discussion is describing the movers and the shakers to the group and letting them pick their main antagonist. I am aware of Verdugo, the Montaigne emperor, and Villanova as some of the settings big bads, are their any others? I know there are a lot of villains in the setting, but I am looking for the big names? Also any from the other nations / continents?
Veteran RPG'er/Noob 7th Sea'er about to start GMing my first game. I've read over the rules and have numerous questions:
Could someone upload a homemade adventure they've created so I can get an idea of how to organise and write one up?
The only one I've seen is the quickstart adventure and that's not fully compatible so if trips me up somewhat.

So, I've read through 7th Sea 2nd Edition and even managed to try running a game of it... it's a very different system than I'm used to running, so it's taking me a little getting used to, but I've always loved Theah as a setting (played a lot of 1st Edition).
I might be reading this wrong but one thing that doesn’t sit well with me is how quickly longer action sequences can be resolved. You know, when you want a bit of ‘back and forth’, a bit of ‘ebb and flow’. For example:
Action Sequence: Storm and Sail
The Heroes are leaving Avalon on a ship bound for Montaigne. Though the weather was overcast, everything was going fine until about half hour into the journey a storm hit them seemingly from nowhere.

All of our sourcebooks go through the same stages on the way to the printer. Here’s a quick summary:
Hi all
I'm interested in 7th Sea 2nd edition, it looks really exciting. I have though been reading mixed reviews about the system; everything from the rules leaving a lot to be desired, to a genius rpgs.
Even though I'm totally new to the system, I tend to think the more critical reviews are coming from those seeing 2nd ed as too much of a change from 1st, or those expecting something else from the system.

Hi All,
I've noticed that there hasn't been much information in regards to the statistics behind the second sea 2nd edition system. For my own curiosity I've decied to calculate out how many raises one would expect based on a players Trait/Skill combination. Due to the fairly complicated die rolling system I calculated these via simulation (50k die rolls per trait/skill combination). I've included a link to an excel spreadsheet with my results. Happy 7th Sea-ing!
