No, True Iskandar. The site is running at peak technological capacity at its current hosting plan. It will work well with current features, but it f we keep adding new ones, some may prove too heavy for the current host. I want to avoid upgrades. The Meetup scheduler pushed us unto thin ice. I quickly recovered it today and thus, instituted the feature freeze. :-(

On the software side, since I am the chief architect, I can add many more new features. On the hardware side, I must pay for equipment and that is limited by my personal budget. Let us enjoy what we have so far and maybe dial our ambitious expansions down a notch, myself included. Ha ha ha!

I don't know how this would affect load, but if we have to choose between options I personally would prioritize sigs over profiles (I'd forgotten about sigs when I made my earlier post ). How other people feel is, of course, up to them.

Is it time for a poll? List all of the proposed and in-process upgrades and see which ones people want most?

Thanks, Morgan for the supportive comments.

Ironically, my older servers offer much more bang for the buck than this latest hosting account procured for 7thSea2e.com.

Maybe, in the past, corporations were less greedy than they are today. Since I have worked with technology for ages, my old servers are on a special lifetime deal.

We may migrate to those older servers in a few weeks time as I study usage trends here.

Unless, of course we get more fans and plan for Patreon or some such.

Currently, I must thread "very very carefully" around new features.

I personally will never be using meet up functions, I get many do but it's wasted on me. I also don't care about having a Sig, profile, avatar, like buttons, +1's or polls. I do want space to share Ideas, offer tips to new folks and laugh with the people who share my interest in the game. So I am happy enough with a stripped down basic forum.
