So, I was wondering if there were any 'missing' nations compared to historical 17th Century. i checked a map for 1648 (post-Treaty of Westphalia, which ended the 30-years War).
Working from the west:
Portugal: subsumed into Castille?
Spanish Kingdoms: Castille.
Ireland: Inismore
Scotland: Highland Marches
England: Avalon
Kingdom of France: Montaigne
Holy Roman Empire: Eisen
Dutch Republic: part of Vestenmannavnjar?
Kingdom of Denmark: part of Vestenmannavnjar
Swiss: covered by Eisen? maybe not.
Italian City-states: Vodacce.
Kingdom of Sweden: also part of Vestenmannavnjar
Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth: Sarmatian Commonwealth
Hungary? Partly outside the HRE, but not under the Ottomans: Eisen??
Transylvania / Wallachia/ Moldova, Satrpies of the Ottomans?: In crescent Empire book?
Tsardom of Russia: Ussura
This gives 3 possibilites: Portugal, separate from Castille; Switzerland, free from Eisen; Hungary.
The Nations of Theah books should answer some of those questions.
I'm not working on any of them, but my understanding is that Hungary and the Balkans are part of Sarmatia, sort of.
The Vesten cover all the Nordic countries, including the Netherlands, and Portugal is a Penninsula of Castille.
Portugal might be Odisea?
... I'm just curious in trying to find Hungary in Samartia. They don't seem that much alike. But I suppose it's much better than 1e where Transylvania and Poland were all in Eisen.

NoTv1 is out. And I gotta say, the Vestenmennavenjar are not a 16th Century country analogue. They're a Skyrim-reject nation loosely based of iron age Scandinavian culture, transposed into the 16th Century, which is a goddamn shame!
Even Avalon, a pretty stereotyped nations have three different flavours internally! There's a lot of ideas I can see has fled from Scandinavian folklore, but for the love of jebus and Reis, being Scandinavian and a 7th Sea fan is a hard path to tread.
