Ahoy, fellow explorers!

After examining numerous ways forward, we have decided to cancel and refund backers for the following outstanding Khitai items:  Khitai Hero Points, Khitai GM screen, Jade Dice, Nations of Khitai: Fuso (printed book), Nations of Khitai: Shenzou (printed book), Nations of Khitai: Han (printed book), Nations of Khitai: Han (PDF only add-on), Nations of Khitai: Agnivarsa (printed book). NOTE: The Emperor's chest is a combination of the points, screen and dice items listed above.

We are offering two main refund options: refund via paypal or refund via chaosium.com store credit. We are working with Kickstarter support to offer refunds via Kickstarter, but that is currently not available due to the age of the kickstarter data. Also, BackerKit does not allow us to refund amounts greater than the amounts collected directly by BackerKit. Thus, refunds in BackerKit are not possible in almost all cases.

• Paypal refunds will be on a dollar for dollar basis. If you paid $40 for an add-on, you will get refunded $40.
• Store credit will be offered with an additional 50% payment. For example, if you paid $40 for an add-on you can opt for $60 in store credit on chaosium.com. You will need a chaosium.com account for this option. If you do not have a chaosium account you can quickly create one by using this link. 

Outstanding PDFs and Stretch Goal PDFs: The All Song of the World adventures PDF is still forthcoming and we expect top distribute it in March. Because various backers were offered PDFs of the stretch goals as a bonus, we are substituting a new PDF scenario being created by Studio Agate as a replacement. We will have more on this new scenario in a forthcoming update. Studio Agate expects it will be available in March of 2025.

Because these cancelled products affect add-ons as well as a number of backer levels, here is a breakdown of that information:

• Retailers who purchased any of the above cancelled physical items will get a full refund via paypal. Because retailers pay wholesale prices for their items we are not offering store credit, just paypal refunds.
• Backers who purchased any of these items specifically as add-ons can either get a full refund via paypal or store credit. 
• Many backer levels had a bundle of items including bonus or free PDFs especially of the stretch goal items.  

Backer level specifics: As part of our apology for canceling these items, we are providing all Backers with the a PDF of Studio Agate's Khitai scenario. The following list details the refund/store credit options by backer level. It does not include any additional money for specific add-on purchases, just the base backer level amount:

• Explorer - No refund/credit needed beyond purchased add-ons.
• Pilgrim - No refund/credit needed beyond purchased add-ons.
• Scholar - No refund/credit needed beyond purchased add-ons.
• Hero - No refund/credit needed beyond purchased add-ons. Bonus add-on reward switched to other available choices.
• Wanderer - No refund/credit needed beyond purchased add-ons. Bonus add-on rewards switched to other available choices.
• Merchant - No refund/credit needed beyond purchased add-ons. One bonus add-on reward switched to other available choices.
• Mystic - $40 refund or $60 store credit. One bonus add-on reward switched to other available choices.
• Priest - $80 refund or $120 store credit. One bonus add-on reward switched to other available choices.
• Alchemist - $120 refund or $180 store credit. One bonus add-on reward switched to other available choices.
• Mikado - $60 refund or $90 store credit (for Emp. chest)
• General - $100 refund or $150 store credit (for 1 book and Emp. chest)
• Hero of Water - $140 refund or $210 store credit (for 2 books and Emp. chest)
• Hero of Void - $180 refund or $270 store credit (for 3 books and Emp. chest)
• All Higher Backer Levels - $60 refund or $90 store credit (for Emp. chest)

Please note that we are not making refunds for the Khitai core book or the Mikado limited edition. If you have not received these items, please contact us by emailing 7thsea@chaosium.com

Lastly, it's not too late to get your Khitai book and Khitai map if you haven't received them. The first part is a reminder that a few backers still need to enter their payment method to pay for their shipping costs. Please remember that we cannot ship you your rewards until you have done so.
